MILB, MLB and Fantasy Baseball

Rookie Debuts, SP’s, Cal Raleigh and The Butler
With an advanced plate approach, tremendous bat speed, legit power, solid speed and good defense Roman Anthony offers a pretty complete package.

Bregman, Walker or Vinnie, and Prospect Watch
Alex Bregman’s resurgence has been a revelation for the Red Sox as he sat .297/32/11/35/1 coming into play today. That’s good for a 158 wRC+ and 2.4 WAR through 50 games.

Bubic, Skenes, Braves and Prospect Watch
What’s the Fantasy Baseball trade value for Kris Bubic? He’s been amazing and the thing is it’s not a fluke. Bubic is now tied for 6th (Wheeler, Skenes) in SP WAR at 1.8.

Naylor Outrunning Carroll, Olson and Prospect Watch
Josh Naylor surprisingly has more bags than teammate Corbin Carroll - who also surprisingly has 14 home runs to Naylor’s 5. Yet both sit in the Top 50 Fantasy Baseball players YTD.

Simpson, McLain, May Leaders and Prospect Watch
JJ Wetherholt’s confident, patient approach at the plate was on display. The swing is good and there should be more power coming…

Fantasy Baseball Rundown May 2
Players that stand out in Fantasy Baseball over recent days include Roki Sasaki, Teoscar Hernandez, Cal Raleigh, George Kirby, Jorge Polanco, Nick Kurtz, Jose Ramirez, the Padres rotation, the DBacks pen, and much more!

Off To A Slow Start - Starting Pitchers
Most SP’s have six games started, which is enough volume to take a look at who has struggled. What should we do moving forward with pitchers like Dylan Cease, Zac Gallen, Aaron Nola, Chris Sale, Gavin Williams, Taj Bradley, Tanner Bibee and others?

Off To A Slow Start - Hitters
We are closing in on the end of April, which is a good time to take a look at MLB Hitters off to slow start. Should we buy low, hold, or move on from players like Willy Adames, Dylan Crews, Cody Bellinger, Ezequiel Tovar, Adley Rutschman and many others?

Around the Horn
Logan Henderson mowed down Lawrence Butler, Brent Rooker and Tyler Soderstrom in the 6th and final inning of his MLB Debut Sunday!

Mining The MLB Leaderboard - Pitchers
Most likely to finish with a WHIP below 1.00: Logan Gilbert, Paul Skenes, Garrett Crochet, Cole Ragans, and let’s include Tarik Skubal even though he currently sits at a 1.01 WHIP.

The Jacksons, Elly, Tucker, Braves and Extensions
Remember that Jackson Chourio had an excellent spring and also had a big 2nd half last season. The good stuff is coming!

Baseball is Back!
A basket full of observations from someone who watched way too much baseball on Opening Day!

Opening Day Incoming
Cam Smith’s stock has skyrocketed since being drafted 14th overall last year. It’s been a meteoric climb and Smith now has a shot to make the Astros OD roster despite only 134 minor league PA’s. Smith destroyed the ball this spring and sure looks like the Astros best overall option in RF, even with such limited experience there.

Leodalis De Vries, Robert Hassell III, Brock Wilken and FPAZ
Robert Hassell III WAS may be the player I have seen the most in the AFL this year. Here he extends really well on a pitch up and away, driving it for an opposite field home run.
Matt McLain, Edwin Arroyo, Caleb Durbin, Kala’i Rosario
So, how did Matt McLain CIN look? Mid-season form is the answer. He looks healthy and was on everything he swung at.
Ethan Salas, Liranzo, Briceno, Termarr & More
Ethan Salas (San Diego Padres) struck out and talked to himself the entire way back to the dugout. That intensity and focus, particularly in the Arizona Fall League, stands out to me. That’s a competitor and it’s a difference making quality.
